Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern New York, Inc.

Ready to Accept Grant Applications

In an ongoing effort to improve the lives of children in Northern New York, the Ronald McDonald House Charities is pleased to announce that applications are ready for distribution to local groups and not-for-profit organizations for the growing health care and social needs of children.  The programs these organizations create will not only directly benefit children and their families in Northern New York, but also will hopefully improve the future of our community.

            To date, Ronald McDonald House Charities and its system of local Charities have awarded more than $100 million to thousands of children's organizations, benefiting millions of children and their families worldwide.  The Ronald McDonald House Charities also supports nearly 170 Ronald McDonald Houses, homes away from home for the families of seriously ill children, in 12 countries around the world.  Locally, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern New York, Inc. has awarded $450,000 in grants to children's organizations since its inception in May 1997.

Guidelines for grant applicants include the following:

?       A program that directly benefits children

?       Consistent and effective management

?       Clear goals and objectives

?       A broad base of funding support

?       A demonstrated ability to respond to the needs of specific groups of children in a manner that yields measurable results

            To be considered for funding, an organization must have a 501(c)(3) form which designates the organization as not-for-profit and tax-exempt.  Grants are awarded twice yearly.  Call or write for more information:
